Golden Boy Boxing for Affliction MMA fans

1. Golden Boy Productions put on an excellent show on October 18th when veteran Bernard Hopkins shocked the world and upset the then-undefeated Lighweight champion Kelly Pavlik in a non-title 170 lbs catch weight bout. Hopkins was able to outbox the 26 year old who is in his prime even though Hopkins is 43. The fight ended in a 12 round unanimous decision victory for Bernard Hopkins. Scoring was 117-109,119-106 and 118-108. If anything this is an excellent demonstration of the sweet science for hardcore MMA only fans and a little look at what could potentially be added to a future hybrid card between the two organizations - Affliction and Golden Boy.

2. Tim Sylvia's manager Monte Cox confirmed to MMAINSIDER that both Sengoku and DREAM have shown interest in the former UFC champion. Sylvia currently has a non-exclusive contract with Affliction that would allow him to fight for either Japanese organization.

3. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs Moise Rimbon has been booked for Sengoku 6. Rogerio is the most recent Affliction fighter to have signed on to fight with another organization after Tom Atencio announced that the October 11th card had been rescheduled.

4. M-1 Global and Affliction announced Thursday that Donald Trump will be joining them in backing a "Fighting Fedor" reality series that will pin 16 world class heavyweights in a tournament. The winner will get a shot at the WAMMA champion on a future Affliction card. It shows that they're all banking on Fedor getting past his January 24th opponent whoever that may end up being. According to a report by FIVEOUNCESOFPAIN both Arlovski and Barnett are being considered as Fedor's next possible opponent. Additionally no fight has been confirmed for the card yet including Lindland vs. Sobral or Mousasi vs. Belfort.
